Gurgaon Foodie Restaurant Awards -Totally Honest, Totally Transparent

Gurgoan, 18th April 2015: Gurgoan Foodie hosted the inaugural Gurgaon Foodie Restaurants Awards(GFRA) today at Indian Grill Room, Gurgaon, where all the leading restaurants from the millennium city- Gurgaon participated to emerge the best in the city. It is a unique set of awards. It is for the first time that a community of foodies has come together to honour the best in F&B.

Gurgaon is the land of amazing diversity in food. Here a senior Goan couple has an eatery that has never run short of customers for close to a decade. An Oriya homemaker has set up a modest restaurant where some are getting their first taste of Santula. A Nepali chef has the suburb’s sizeable Japanese diaspora enthralled with his authentic bento boxes. And a Bengali chef has been turning out some of the best Tapas this side of Spain for his admiring European and Indian patrons. No wonder that Gurgaon is increasingly referred to as the nation’s Food Capital.

Gurgaon Foodie Restaurant Awards (GFRA) ceremony was held on 18th April  at the Indian Grill Room rooftop. The awards reflect the true choice of the Gurgaon Foodie members and their family and friends without any jury influencing the process and no sponsors to compromise on objectivity. The award ceremony is a ticketed event with foodies paying to celebrate. So, the GFRA Awards are the most honest and transparent awards ever conducted.

Among the winners are some very uniquely Gurgaon brands like Farzi café getting the restaurant of the year, Café Delhi Heights as the best café, Olive Bistro as the best European restaurant, The Monk as the best Pan Asian restaurant and Fat Lulu’s for the best pizza. A complete list of winners is provided at the end of the note.

Whoever gets most votes, wins. The process and the results will be totally transparent. The choice of Gurgaon Foodie members wins.
The nominated contenders are up at the group website’s specially created microsite at http://gurgaonfoodie.com/awards2015/. For every category, Gurgaon foodie members will vote. In the unlikely case of any ties in the number of votes, the award will be shared.

The Award Ceremony:
