Public Connection, Cp- Review

Public connection- as the name suggests is another platform for people to connect which was evident in the decor of this restaurant. While one wall is adorned with  a bridge, the other with radio sets and whatever you can think is a device to connect with others. The seating is generally versatile with an emphasis on comfort. They also have private dining rooms based on different concepts from sports, Hollywood to industrial. We chose a PDR- a sports themed room with pictures of cricketers and footballers’ jersey- which actually is the best place if you want to hang out with your inner circle of friends. The seating is cozy and comfortable with a mix of chairs and sofas giving a very homelike feel to the PDR.
The menu offers a little bit of this and that, a concept that is becoming more and more popular with the city. The food is paired with sheeshas which were definitely a major draw. The drinks are even served in kitschy containers from popcorn jars, oil cans to even a telephone booth from London.
In the mood for some salad ,I ordered the  Cottage cheese Pineapple salad which lived upto my expectations, with every tiny bite of the salad dressed evenly, consequentially starting our lunch on a good note. Assorted Veg Dimsums were refreshingly warm on a really long day. The Soya Wrap, was scrumptious with its succulent filling. Grilled assorted vegetables with lemon couscous were a tad dry and could have been done with some gravy. Thai curry in red sauce was aromatic and saved the day. They don’t have any option in desserts at present but a chocolate brownie which was served with vanilla ice cream managed to satisfied my sweet craving.

The staff seemed confused and some effort needs to be put into train them. All in All it’s a good place to drop in for drinks and sheeshas with your next friends the next time you are in CP.
