Don’t we all know of and rave about the first restaurant in NCR to specialise in molecular gastronomy- Farzi Café? After winning the hearts of Millenium City from Cyber Hub, this concept restaurant now attacks the heart of Delhi, by opening its latest outlet at Connaught Place.
A venture of Zorawar Kalra , it was heartening to see him interact with everyone at the launch and conveyed that this restaurant format continues to have of the superb response from everyone who visited Farzi Cafe from all over India, not to mention the encouragement from the patrons of NCR, particularly Gurgaon. This experience that he had for the last year and a half of running this restaurant at Cyber Hub, prompted him to expand “Farzi” horizons.
For the contemporary NCR diner, Farzi Café offers something truly unique. It has also bought Indian cuisine back in the A-list of dining choices with its forward looking menus that blend some amazing European dishes with improvised Indian preparations; they actually have a name for their offering- Indian bistronomie! What it is famous for is its take on modern approaches to cooling like molecular gastronomy- this gives a new twist to the food and drinks on offer and at the same time the diner can enjoy a truly uplifting dining experience.
Some examples of its unique and out of the world fair on offer at the fledgling branch which boasts of a special hoppers section are: fresh coconut appam, eggs', curry leaf pepper appam, asparagus & water chestnut khurma, Malaya prawns and pan fried Sri Lankan Hoppers. Be ready to experience novelty and delight at this Café when you taste the dishes prepared using centrifuges, distillers, compress cooking, vacuum evaporation and some…and as if this was not all, you have the specially designed Farzi Hooka Menu, which takes the novelty of the experience to a whole new level.
The café is truly specious, spread over 4500 sq. ft. it sports a well laid out Island Bar, it is the handiwork of Sahiba Singh’s This Is It Design. The overall take was that while the new joint retains the features and the underlying theme of the original, it has a lot of new elements are added to it right from the ambience to the F & B part- it has a full blown stage for musical performances that should really work for the music lovers among us.
