Dr Oetker’s Funfoods range has been a family favourite for some time now. It’s a staple in my kitchen but here I wish to
only talk about 2 of its products.
A recent back injury held me from working out and that
did lead to a surge in my weight. To get back in shape these days I am watching
what I eat and that means a lot of salad is incorporated in my daily meal. To
help me make some delicious salad these days is Dr Oetker’s salad dressing
vinaigrette. A simple recipe that I make with this dressing is as below;
Ingredients;
2 large ripe tomatoes
1 cucumber
½ red onion
1 cup Feta cheese
4 black olives
(Pitted and sliced)
Dr
Oetker’s Salad Dressing Vinaigrette- 3 Tbsp
Chop the tomatoes and peeled Cucumber. In a large bowl
mix all the ingredients. Drizzle 3 tbsp Dr Oetker’s salad dressing vinaigrette
and It’s ready for consumption.
The eggless cake mix is a very handy product. No longer
having to worry about sourcing different
ingredients from baking powder, to baking soda or even flour. The mix can be
used to prepare 11 different varieties of cakes from chocolate, marble ,
vanialla etc by the inclusion of certain ingredients. Me and my daughter
decided to make the chocolate cake that afternoon. It was so easy she could do
it herself. And the texture, well soft and delicious so much so that it was
devoured within an hour of leaving the oven.Here’s the recipe
Chocolate
cake
250g-
Dr Oetker’s eggless cake mix
75 ml milk
100g- Butter
2tbsp-Cocoa Powder
2tbsp-Powdered Sugar
Mix all the ingredients. Heat the oven to 180C .Pour the
batter in a greased cake tin and bake for 30 mins or till a skewer comes out
clean. My children love this drizzled with some chocolate sauce with a serving
of vanilla icecream on the side.
